(May 3, 2011) A new traffic signal on Preston Road at Hickory Street will be activated today, May 3, in the flashing mode. While in the flashing mode, traffic on Preston Road will not have to stop at the flashing yellow light, but traffic on Hickory Street will have to stop at the flashing red light and yield to traffic on Preston Road.
The signal will become fully operational on Thursday, May 5.
Motorists are urged to use caution at this intersection as people become accustomed to the new traffic control patterns.
