SRT/DNT Interchange

The North Texas Toll Authority (NTTA) will upgrade the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) and Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT/formerly SH 121) to a full high-speed, direct connection interchange beginning in 2010.  This project will affect many Frisco residents, so the city's Engineering Services Department will maintain this Web page to keep residents informed on progress.

Construction Updates

The City of Frisco will notify citizens of changes to traffic patterns through E-News, the city's online news and information service. Sign up for automatic email updates here. Be sure to select 'Engineering' to receive road work updates and advisories, including those about the DNT/SRT interchange.

Project Overview

The DNT/SRT interchange currently has no direct connecting ramps. Drivers must exit and proceed through traffic lights in order to move from one toll road to another.  The planned upgrade will consist of adding eight ramps that would directly connect the main lanes of the toll roads.

The SRT/DNT interchange project will add levels four and five (level one is the service roads, level two is Sam Rayburn Tollway and level three is the Dallas North Tollway).  Construction is expected to begin February 2010 and take two years to complete.
