If you install new landscaping during July, August and September or during declared drought stages, you may apply for an exemption to the day-of-week watering restrictions. If approved, your request will allow daily watering up to 30 days from the date of installation. All water consumption during this time is the responsibility of the account holder.
Minor changes to existing landscapes will not be considered as new landscaping for a watering exemption. Replacing plants to existing, established landscapes is discouraged especially during seasonally hot weather. Exemptions beyond 30 days of installation will not be considered.

Water Restrictions Still Apply
The water restrictions of the Water Management Plan apply even when an exemption for new landscaping is granted:
- - No watering of impervious surfaces like streets, parking lots, alleys, driveways, etc.
- - No watering during precipitation or at temperatures below 40°F.
- - No water runoff flowing away from property.
- - Hand watering with a hose, soaker hoses, and drip/bubbler systems are permitted at anytime.
